Go behind the scenes with one of the largest professional dance companies in the country and discover what it takes to bring a BalletMet production to life.

Before the performance, you’ll learn fascinating facts during an interactive Q&A session. After the cast take their final bows, go on an exclusive backstage tour to view scenery and props up close and learn the secrets the audience never sees - all guided by a member of the production crew. Meet company dancers and get your photo taken with the dancers. The 2009-2010 season: Oct. 16-18 - “Swan Lake,” Nov. 6-21 - “NightMoves,” Dec. 11-23 - “The Nutcracker,” Feb. 5-14 - “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” March 4-13 - “Carmina Burana” and April 23-May 1 - “American Legends: Johnny, Sammy and Stevie.”

There’s more to the show than meets the eye. Backstage in the wings, there’s an emergency kit with dance essentials: facial tissue, a needle and thread for any costume mishaps, Band-Aids, and, of course, breath mints - a must for the Prince before he kisses Sleeping Beauty. Of course, there’s also a much larger emergency kit similar to what you’d find at a professional sports game. A personal trainer is on standby in the Green Room during all performances. The show must go on!
