COLUMBUS, Ohio (October 15, 2009) – The Jazz Arts Group of Columbus is proud to announce the 2009-10 season of JAG’s newest music performance series at the Lincoln Theatre, Inside Track. Designed to attract a diverse audience, Inside Track features a cross-section of contemporary music by smaller ensembles. Kicking off the season is the Dirty Dozen Brass Band on November 13.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is world famous for its genre-bending romps and high-octane performances that blend top-notch chops with their non-stop party vibe. They are New Orleans’ most popular and funkiest brass band which defies all categorization with collaborations from Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie to Dave Matthews, Modest Mouse and more, bringing them a wide-ranging audience and appeal.

Series highlights include John Hammond on December 19, Louis Armstrong Hot 5/Hot 7 on February 19 and 20, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews & Orleans Avenue on April 3, and the Booker T. Band on May 1. Showtime is 8:00 p.m. for all concerts.
